OK, Here we go..... I think it only fair to start with this photo as this trip to Tokyo, and the inspiration of these two guys with me in the photo, really kicked off my interest in exploring food, photographing said eats, and sharing/explaining my impressions of my experiences. So, to you David Chang and Anthony Bourdain, Cheers, and thanks. As I begin I think it only fair to explain a bit of what my purpose with this blog is. As you know, I do not participate in Facebook, and I wont go into why here, but I NEEDED a vehicle to communicate and connect with those in my life, both near and far. As the name implies, this will primarily be a blog about pizza. However, as this is mine, I will feel free to do and say as I damn well please, as it pleases me. So I hope to not offend or tiptoe too far over the line of appropriateness, but if I do, that's just too fucken bad. Enjoy. Pizza, food, life experiences, thoughts, feelings, rants, and more food. This is what you will find here. Please feel free to share and pass along to anyone you think might have an interest, as I hope you will as well. Sincerely yours, DVA

Golfing, YAAAY!!!!!

No really, I had a great time.  I think it also helps that the scenery was stunning and the group I was with was encouraging and positive and just wanted everyone to do well and have fun.  And we nailed it on all counts.

Tamano Golf Club, south of Okayama about an hour on a bus.  Tamano is the city where my customer is, Mitsui Zosen, and the reason that I'm here.

In the photo to the left is Evan McAvoy Solar Japan Branch Manager and the rest are guys from the Mitsui Service group, oher than the guy in orange next to me, that's Yasuo Saito, Solar Field Service Representative.  A GREAT guy and the the one who organized this outing.

Amazing views, beautiful course, fantastic day.

The woman, yes woman, in the next photo was our caddie.  About 80 years old and was SUPER awesome.  Club selection, distance to the pin, blah blah blah, and super funny too.

One of the craziest things was the remote controlled golf cart.   CRAZY SHIT!  The caddie had a controller and would have the cart follow us as we walked the fairway or to the next hole.
CRAZY SHIT!!

I shot an 82 on the front 9 and a 76 on the back, which I think is pretty good for someone that has only played twice ever and 15 years since the last time.

Golf, it CAN be fun.
