Previously this place was something else. And like most things that were once another, as we re-birth we hope for better, more evolved, a heightened level of whatever we had aspired to be before. Hence my excitement for this day. This Sunday. A day to enjoy the game with friends food and frivolity.
Adam's Ave, just west of 34th street is where we find ourselves this day.

Normal Heights is right! And we are in the heart of it.
I dig the theme of this place, even though I really don't understand it too much. From what I gather it was named for the multitude of rabbits that roamed the site during renovations, but I'm not sure if I buy that completely. It definitely has a vibe akin to a child's fable, or even Watership Down. Take a peek around, I'll still be here when you get back...

TV's are everywhere! Must be 30 of them.
And rabbits
And BEER!!! Lot's of local breweries are well represented here.
The corn hole is up for grabs too... what?
This is probably my favorite painting/mural in the place. It's on the wall that takes you to the restrooms. Dig it, everything about it.
Another nicety to enjoy during your visit
Jack-a-lope
Standard these days
This is inside the restaurant and is the entrance to the kitchen. A super cool touch, I think.
Now, let's get down to it!!!!
Bloody mary. Made with pickled stuff from The Skerry Hot Pickle company! So fricken good, and spicy! Cucumbers (pickles) carrots, green beans, cauliflower, EVERYTHING, and so super yummy!!!
A San Diego company that would love for you to check them out. They are served at quite a few local restaurants and pubs and you can even get them online.
Here's more about them, please check it out, and please find this stuff somewhere and EAT IT!!!!
It made this bloody mary taste super great, a nice start to the day :-)
The brunch menu.
We saw a ton of burritos going out of the kitchen, and they looked great.
I had my eye on the sandwich the whole time though, so get ready to check that out!
Soft delicious buttery bun, perfectly cooked smoky bacon, eggs and cheese. The hashbrowns were also bouncing with flavor. A little sriracha and ketchup and this plate was empty in about 3 seconds.
A terrific breakfast sandwich
And yes, we were there so long that we needed another meal. Wings and fries! And I love the fact that there's no sauce! A delicious rub covers all parts. They also taste deep fired which is A-OK by me. They did offer up some mustard and ketchup and stuff, but they really don't need anything.
A solid batch of fries also. Seasoned perfectly, a light touch of salt, hot and ready!
Basic great flavorful food, an awesome selection of beer, Skerry Pickles, a fun-friendly wait staff. Whoever is behind the re-do of this place definitely knows what they are doing.
I can't wait to go down the rabbit hole again soon
