The week is over and we're headed out of Japan. But the day ahead is still very long and we are hungry. We're at Tokyo station and it's time to change from the Shinkansen to the train, the Narita Express. A 1 hour non-stop train ride from the city to the airport. But were hungry, it's a week day, and it's lunch time, and the place is packed.
After wandering through the maze we finally come across a noodle shop that doesn't have an hour wait.
Michi-chan had the shark fin ramen, smelled great
Le-san and I each had the large, extra stuff ramen (I don't remember the exact name, but it was like Mega or Super or Giant, but it really just had lots in the bowl, see below)
And it was spicy!
I had the red and Le-san had the black, I think. I was tired and hungry, and this hit the spot.
And then my belly felt like it had been hit, in the wrong spot....
Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but the volume I consumed in the short period of time was maybe just a bit much. I feel sorry for the people behind me in the customs departure lounge.....
